Bars, Restaurants and Shopping

There are many restaurants within easy reach of Costa Paraiso. Within two minutes walk there are three bars all of which have a range of food menus available. There is a huge choice of places to eat and drink at Villamartin Square, which is a very active and popular place for dining in the evenings. During the day the local Parakeet population provide an entertaining spectacle flying around and roosting in the palm trees. Los Dolses, La Zenia and Torrevieja also contain many bars and eateries.

Shopping for food in the area is easy. There are numerous supermarkets in the immediate area with a large Mercadonia unit now established about three minutes away by foot from the apartment. On the outskirts of Torrevieja is a large Carrfore. There is great shopping to be had in the historic and vibrant town of Cartegena.

Beaches

There are three main beach areas all within 15 minutes by car from Costa Paraiso. The nearest is La Zenia, which has a large clean beach with ample off street parking. Cabo Roig and Playa Flamenca are equally attractive but require a little more energy as they are accessed by walking down some steps. Nearly all beaches in this area are Blue Flag graded. For those that are more adventurous exploring the beaches at Punta Prima to the north or the quaint area of Lo Pagen to the south will satisfy most requirements.

Golf

There are three well-established quality golf courses in the area. Villamartin, which is adjacent to Costa Paraiso, Las Ramblas and Campoamor which, are about five minutes away by car. The apartment has views to the 17th green at the Villamartin course. This is a well established course which as a development started in 1972. Other areas of interest

The salt lakes of Torrevieja are a bird watchers delight, particularly with the pink flamingos. The area is a place of natural interest with designated walking routes within a park environment. Torrevieja is about twenty minutes by car and has a pleasant promenade which often hosts market stalls well worth browsing. There are many shops, bars and restaurants within the town which also has good parking facilities.
